Who I Am
I’ve always disliked how men’s hair is undervalued. To me, a haircut is the final piece of a man’s aesthetic and time and consideration should be taken to get it right with something that works, not always just based on trend but the individual’s lifestyle and in some cases, limitations - the balance is so important.
Not every on-trend haircut is right for everyone, just because you want a fade doesn’t mean it’s right for your hair type or face shape. There are so many options and nuances to be considered. I always advise guests to invest in ideas, to use Pinterest and Social Media to communicate their vision - from there we can work on something that is appropriate.
I admire men’s stylists like Josh Lamonaca, Charlie Grey, and Chris Bossio because they push the boundaries of what men’s hairdressing / barbering can mean - they keep it fresh and I like that. I’ve always enjoyed walking away after receiving a great haircut and I want everyone to feel comfortable, taken care of, and confident.
